What can I enquire about?

  • Pediatric palliative medicine consultant non-urgent advice and support is available to primary care providers (including family physicians and pediatricians) who have patients with complex palliative care symptoms and needs, that include the following:
  • • Pain
  • • Nausea
  • • Dyspnea
  • • Constipation
  • • Opioid toxicity
  • • Delirium
  • • Depression, anxiety, grief
  • • Clarification of treatment goals and management plans
  • • Decision making approaching end of life
  • • Access to pediatric hospice for end of life care
  • • Family support including respite admissions at Rotary Flames House hospice for children with complex needs expected to die in childhood
